Congratulations to WPHCA Scholarship recipient Amy Zarate!

The W.P. Highlands Civic Association was honored to award a $1000 scholarship to White Plains HS Senior and Highlands resident Amy Zarate.

Amy is a first generation student with excellent academics and plenty of volunteer/extra curricular activities. She clearly stood out among the other amazing candidates.

Each year the WPHCA awards a scholarship to a WPHS senior taking into consideration Overall Academics (GPA, Class Rank, Course Rigor), Family Life/Financial Difficulties, and Extracurricular/Volunteer Activities on or off campus. Guidance counselors select Highlands students who they feel best meet the scholarship criteria and the WPHCA Board selects the scholarship recipient from among them.

We are extremely grateful to all who have generously donated to the WPHCA Scholarship Fund so our community can support deserving students like Amy!
